Straight elements with phase balancing are used to reduce and balance mutual phase reactance and impedance in case of long lines. In particularly long sections (> 100 metres) it is recommended that two transposition elements are fitted (one at one third and one at two thirds of the path), to balance the system electric impedance: In this way, it will be possible to have along the installation path all the possible combinations, of reciprocal positions among phases, minimising load losses . If it's necessary to have the same phase sequence at the start and the end, use 3 phase balancing elements.
