Straight elements with phase balancing are used to reduce and balance mutual phase reactance and impedance in case of long lines. In particular long sections (> 100 metres) it is recommended that two transposition elements are fitted (one at one third and one at two thirds of the path), to balance the system electric impedance: In this way, it will be possible to have along the installation path all the possible combinations, of reciprocal positions among phases, minimising load losses. If it's necessary to have the same phase sequence at the start and the end, use 3 phase balancing elements.
